Hyundai Sponsors 2012 Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Ruth Eisen, Executive Director and Associate General Counsel for the Hyundai Motor America knows what it's like to deal with the challenges of autism on a daily basis. Eisen has a son with autism, which is one reason she was so happy to introduce the brand's third year of partnership of the annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks event. The event took place in conjunction with Autism Speaks and recently brought together more than 30-thousand participants at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. The event's purpose? To combat the disorder by raising awareness about its prevalence and promoting increased research funding.

Jim Farley, Head of Sales and Marketing for Ford, didn't know that a quick hotel stay would influence a completely new customer-care strategy for Ford's luxury brand LINCOLN. It all started when Farley, who was living in Detroit at the time, stayed at a hotel in Minneapolis last year. Instead of placing the standard Wall Street Journal on his doorstep, the staff at the boutique hotel replaced it with The Detroit News to make him feel more at home. As Farley recounts, "They said, we saw where you're from and we just guessed that you'd rather have your hometown paper. It's a simple thing, but I want to go back there."1
