Ford to Debut Innovative Mirror Technology on New Escape

It seems that American auto manufacturer Ford is always looking for ways to improve features that most automakers and manufacturers don't even consider in need of enhancement. That's how Ford stays ahead in terms of design and innovation; the brand knows how to get a step ahead of the competition.

The American brand's latest development is an elliptical acoustic mirror, which is designed to deliver a quieter ride by reducing wind noise for the passenger- allowing him/her to better hear conversations and music in the vehicle. The mirror does this by identifying "hot spots" where noise seeps into the vehicle and blocking those areas. The high-tech mirror resembles a satellite dish featuring a microphone.

Although this kind of technology has been seen on European luxury cars up to this point, it's quite new as far as American vehicles go. The 2013 Ford Escape, which is scheduled to be introduced at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, could be the first vehicle to showcase this new mirror technology.

As you know, readers, you can always count on Ford to put its drivers' concerns first. The new, noise-reduction mirror is just one example of the brand's commitment to keeping its drivers comfortable and satisfied. The good news is, Ford puts this much thought into all of its new Ford vehicles. Stop by Spradley Barr Ft.
