New Mazda6 to be Showcased in Paris

Every year around this time, Spradley Barr Ft.Collins has the opportunity to get excited about next year's new Mazda models. Yeah, we know, the calendar just turned over to 2012. In the auto world, however, it's all about staying ahead of the game, and Mazda certainly knows how to play to win. The brand has announced that its next-generation Mazda6 will make its debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September.

The auto world has already been given a small taste of what the new Mazda will look like. The Takeri Concept, which was shown at the November 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, highlighted the future look of Mazda vehicles.  The Takeri concept is a new, lightweight platform that features Mazda's new Skyactiv technologies, which are designed to increase fuel economy. The verdict is still out regarding the Mazda6's use of a diesel engine (the Takeri Concept featured one), as the company has announced it will introduce diesels to the U.S. in the near future. A regenerative braking system is also used in the Takeri and will probably be seen on the new Mazda6. Overall, the concept is sleek, powerful, and eye-catching, so we expect the new Mazda6 to be as well.

Stay tuned here with Spradley Barr Ft. Collins, located at 4809 South College Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80525, for more updates about the new Mazda6 as they become available. In the meantime, feel free to browse our current new Mazda inventory.
