Ford Delivers Special New Restoration Shells for Vintage Mustangs

Are you a Ford Mustang enthusiast? Now you can build your own "brand new" Ford Mustang based on the classic 1965, 1967 and 1969 production models of these vehicles. Ford now offers officially licensed Mustang shells, built to look like the original cars, which you can order at Spradley Barr Ft. Collins.

These new Ford shells were required to meet or exceed the "fit, finish and quality of the original [Mustangs]."1and were created by the Dynacorn company. Some would argue they even improved the model shells from the original Mustang bodies. The panels are constructed from contemporary automotive-grade 'virgin' steel, which is slightly thicker than the original models saw. To add extra strength, parts are amassed using up-to-date welding techniques. The recreations can be fabricated to be almost-completely similar replicas of the original cars. Any 'big-block' engine from the era should fit, assuring passionate restorers that classic motors such as the 390, 427 and 428-cubic-inch motors will fit "just-right." Prices differ for the several shells, but, just for an example, the 1967 convertible body is available for $15,995 from the Ford Restoration Catalog.

Here at Spradley Barr Ford, we encourage all enthusiasts to further ignite their passions with the new body shells. And, we'd love to see the finished product. Stop by and see us anytime at 4809 South College Avenue Fort Collins, CO 80525 to speak with us about restored or brand-new 2012 Ford Mustang vehicles.
